Deep Thoughts

Seattle photographer David Peterman dreams of dreamy underwater dreams.....dreaming dreamy dreams like these deep-down, downright dreamy glamour shots of decidedly dreamy  Jamie Von Stratton dreamily dreaming her own dreams as she dreamily floats beneath those dreamy depths!

Rock-A-Raise!

We Seattle-ites may be all the way across the country (2852 miles from here to NY as the bird flies) but that doesn't stop us from caring about our friends on the East Coast, many of whom are still struggling after the devastation of Hurricane Sandy!

So I'm proud to announce that this Sunday night I'll be performing at ROCK-A-RAISE...a dance party and burlesque show dedicated to raising money for this worthy cause! In fact, 100% of the proceeds will be going to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Hurricane Sandy Relief and Rebuild Fund!

This event is going to be held at CHOP SUEY on Seattle's Capitol Hill...aaaand...I'm very excited to be sharing the stage with that Hot Hot Mess of Seattle Burlesque, the fabulous Mitzy Sixx!

Check out the TUMBLR link! My thanks to the producers for making me feel like a big-time celebrity! What a thrill!!

Host Post

Hello my darling darlings! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with food, fun and friends! As for me, I enjoyed my own annual tradition of going out for a couple pints of the strongest (around 9% alcohol!) seasonal ale around town, Maritime's Jolly Roger... and some good ol' fashioned fish and chips!

So while I was noshing away on my untraditional fishy feast, it occured to me that I never told y'all about my latest gig! For the last few months I've been the 'official' show host, aka Mistress of Ceremonies,  for Chameleon Productions...a fabulous troupe of burlesque and bellydance performers who put together a show every month at a local bar known as Dante's... a favorite U of W frat hangout since the 60's!

I just so happen to have a video from September's themed show, 'Mix It Up!' ...why don't you 'check it out'?

Next month is an Xmas theme, of course...entitled 'Tis The Season... and guess who got to design the poster??

In Memoriam

Darlings, I don't usually get too sentimental here on the ol' bloggeroo, but today I want to acknowledge someone very special who passed away yesterday...the day before her birthday...after a long and brave struggle with cancer...Heather Artena Hughes.

I've had the pleasure of working and laughing with Heather, aka Betty Sommers , on several episodes of MatchGame Belltown...where she's always brought a note of raunchy hilarity to Betty's 'cougar' persona. In and out of character, always a funny, warm and caring person who is obviously loved by many here in Seattle, especially those in the performance community.

Heather, Happy Birthday! Bless you...and may peace be with you! Your friends and admirers back down here in dumb ol' Seattle will miss you very, very much!!

Here's a clip of our Heather in that classic Seattle grunge-era movie, SINGLES...

Captain Jamie

Oh, and one more thing, loved ones...if you'd like to see the creator of those cute little aqua 'flight suits'...

...check out another uber-fabulous friend of mine, designer Jamie Von Stratton...on Perez TV!

By the time you get to almost  the end, you'll see Jamie wearing the exact same Captain Jamie uniform...with none other than the legendary Bob Mackie! Yay!

Match Schtick

This past Sunday night marked the second big Match Game of the season...now in its fabulous new home...Re-bar!! So far there's been a great turnout and we've recruited some new fans along the way, so thaaaat's good...the only thing I miss is drink service...and snacking during the show, since they don't cook anything at Re-bar except Bacon!

Aaanyway...I donned my most mysterious black wig and eyepatch for this month's James Bond theme...

...then made my getaway to Re-bar to enjoy some martinis (shaken, not stirred) along with the antics of this month's special guests...The Ghost of Amy Whinehouse...the scourge of the Galore dynasty, Penis Galore...and everyone's favorite Naughty Nazi, Gaydolf Hitler!

Here I am with the sensationally seductive Miss Anita PoussĂ©...

...aaaand...amazing vocalist Adé!

We die-hard Match Game fans are a courteous group who always make sure to dress for the occasion...

Just don't piss us off or we get very...very...ANGRY!!!

I don't know about you, but I can't wait for December, when the traditional holiday theme is a Snowball Fight with Jesus...and a certain U-No-Hoo will be a very special guest herself with a very special holiday song...hmmm...I wonder who it could be???

Don't forget to take a peek at my Good Answer blog on Tumblr for oodles of answer cards from Match Game! And I think that's enough of the black wig for this year...I have to get back to concentrating on my BLONDE AMBITION!!! for cryin' out loud!

Jackie Hell knows a Whore when she sees one!

Quite the Catch!

Ah, yes...there's nothing I like better than an outdoorsman! I've always loved fishing shows...honestly, I just can't get enough of The Deadliest Catch...I could watch it 24/7! So imagine how thrilled I was to find this true-to-life, outdoor sport fishing documentary featuring none other than The Luminous Pariah, who is not only a lovely sight to behold, but quite the fisherman, it seems! Watch this and enjoy seeing the beauty of nature unfold!

Where Were You??

Well, I visited here yesterday as promised! I didn't post anything, of course, but I was here! However, I didn't see You anywhere...I'm not used to being stood up, and let me tell you...it stings! I think a little punishment may be in order...perhaps in the form of a ballgag??? Ballgags, for some reason, are a running joke among my peers...

...and friends, I believe I may have written the official theme...The Ballgag Rag...sung to the pop strains of Petula Clark's Downtown...always a favorite with the crowd...everybody loves a sing-a-long!

What the hay-all am I talking about? Let's Get Dirty!...a fetish-themed show I was in a week or so ago, hosted by none other than the amazingly nimble-fingered Twisted Monk...bondage expert and purveyor of the finest rope made for such purposes...in a rainbow of colors like Statutory Grape and Pretty Kitty Pink! It was a wild and wacky night, friends, and many thanks to my pal Mark, who volunteered to be pulled out of the audience and made a complete fool of onstage...what a guy!

Twisted Monk made one helluva hilarious host...and was kind enough to help me out by doing a little improv to set up my song. Once I had my victim onstage, sitting in a chair, I introduced them. They shook hands, and then, in the blink of an eye, TM produced a length of crimson rope, whipped his arm around and the next thing you know, poor Mark was tied fast to the chair! Isn't that fun?? From there, it was easy to strap on that ballgag (which I designed myself, natch, with breathable foam and velcro...a stage gag, if you will)...to the collective amusement of the perverts onlookers.

Everybody loved the song...so much so, in fact, that we've been invited to do an encore performance of the act at another S&M themed show coming up next month! I just saw Mark at last night's Salon party and he's just thrilled to pieces! I wonder about that kid sometimes.....

Sadly, I don't have any pictures of that act to share, but my pal Johnny did take some amazing pictures of Monk in action, a sexy suspension that was thrilling to watch, and featuring the beautiful La Petite Mort!

You can watch a similar tie-up set to music, by visiting TM's blog! The guy may look pretty intense...maybe even a little scary, but I'm here to tell ya, he's actually very cuddly...see?

Mighty Contrite!

Forgive me, for I can't believe I've neglected you this long, my loved ones! It's just that I've been so darn busy lately with a multitude of shows and other personal appearances...you know, all those hardware store openings, baptisms and wedding receptions...plus, it's my busy season for bar mitzvahs...then there's my weekly gig at the local senior center's Bingo/Karaoke night...always a wild time there, I gotta tell ya! With all that, writing a couple new songs and creating a few new additions to my wardrobe...well, I'm sorry, but I just haven't had time to blog...not to mention I've also been deeply involved of late in conducting my own personal experiment to see how much time can be wasted on Facebook...the results are astonishing, to say the least!

At least I have something to show for all this...a whole buncha new pals and some pictures to share with you!

This past Saturday night was my opportunity to wear that glittering gold gown I was telling you about, thanks to my pal Mitzy Sixx...

...and Mitzy's Ditzy Glitzy Variety Show, where I sang one of my most tender love songs, Did You Just Cut A Fart?

Gettaloada that glitz...that glamour...that Golden Gullet!!

Speaking of Golden Gullets, I've also been crazy bizzy planning my upcoming party, Gams Galore's 20,000 Days Under I-5! As of today, I've been alive 19,992 days...and having fun working with Sam of Dynamite Cocktails to compose a G-themed drink menu, including my signature drink, The Golden Gullet! Here's what we've planned so far...

The Golden Gullet ~ Gin, Grapefruit Juice, Grenadine, Ginger Syrup and (edible) golden glitter (Sam makes his own Grenadine, Ginger Syrup and bitters...and they are amazing!)
G-Spots ~ Shots of Fireball...crushed PopRocks around the rim optional
Glitter Shots ~ Limoncello Jello shots with golden glitter
G-Rated ~ Sparkling Golden Cider

So that takes care of the drinking...as for the dancing, I've been compiling remixes of some of my favorite 80's disco dance hits...my darling DJ Gio (named appropriately enough) will be rockin' the house!

I'm terribly excited that a few other friends have said they'd like to perform, as well...I'm soooo lucky to know soooo many talented people!

And prizes! Did I tell you I'll be giving away an amazing array of interesting items, specially selected from my own lifetime accumulation...that's 20,000 days worth of shit! Guests must answer trivia questions...about me, natch...to win these collectibles, but it's all good stuff though...all good...and possibly worth money on eBay! And of course I've written a special musical dedication, this time for myself...that I plan to debut that evening (and that I will share with you in due time, darlings!)  All that and more, with the help of a few wonderful friends...it's shaping up to be a magical evening!

I have so much more to tell you, darlings...as well as some more pictures I'm just dying to share...so I will be back tomorrow, and I promise I won't ever stay away from you so long again! XO!

Of Corsets.....

Sunday...and, as promised, I've stumbled out of bed long enough to take a couple aspirin and tell you about that show last night...what I can remember of it, that is...

At least I know this much: my song went off without a hitch and the crowd seemed to love it...but, as everybody knows...ya GOTTA love the GAMS! Here are a couple shots taken by Johnny...

Notice that fabulous corset I'm wearing? This is the same beautiful patchwork one designed by my pal Babe! I loved it but wasn't sure how or what to wear it with... until I discovered that it just happened to look sensational with a beaded bra, created years ago, which I loved but was never sure how or what to wear it with...talk about a match made in heaven...and cleavage galore! I've dumped the contents of my beloved Betsey bag here, so you can see the yummy colors and textures in my costume! The pink brocade patchwork just happened to match a pink brocade hat I had laying around...too easy...just the way I like it!

All in all, a very long but fun evening spent singing, drinking and dancing with friends and fans alike!

Halloween Hijinx 2010

I hope all of you had a fun, safe, and reasonably sane Halloween weekend! My party of choice was chosen mostly because I was invited to perform, and when I heard the "p" word, it immediately negated any and all other plans for the evening!

Then, when I found out that Ernie Von Schmaltz...the man, the myth, the moustache...was also going to be featured, I was inspired to write a little song...or I should say, re-write a little song ~ My Heart Belongs to Ernie ~ using Ella Fitzgerald's My Heart Belongs to Daddy...I must say, it turned out pretty darn cute and I think Ernie appreciated it, too...I love surprising friends!

If you've seen the best documentary on earth...A Wink and A Smile...you might remember Ernie's performance as a hip-thrusting, martini-shaking, medallion-swinging ladies' man. If you missed it, here is the Classic Ernie!

No matter where he plays or who he plays to, Ernie captures the audience's hearts as he did mine...hence my moving tribute! And since you asked...yes! I am going to be making a cute and cuddly home video to go with my song...I'll be sharing that with you soon!

Aaanyway
, as for the rest of the evening, Shaggy and Gammy-Do started things off right by passing around everybody's favorite party treat...Scooby Snax! As you can see, we'd already munched a few on the way over in the Mystery Machine......

Another cookie distributor that evening was my fabulous hairstylist, Lisa, who was enjoying recreating her younger years as a dedicated Girl Scout from Troop 420.......

Then there was this guy...who did he think he was gonna fool with the old "I'm a dandelion, make a wish and blow me" routine??

Not me, that's for sure! I wasn't falling for it one minute...so, you shoulda seen him...he got all puffed up and blew off in a huff!

And since an occasion like Halloween calls for at least one costume change...halfway through the evening I quick-changed into my favorite flapper dress with a big orange boa...

...and Lulu Ukulele! Aren't I kooky-spooky in orange and black?

Coloring Fun!

Have you met him?? That veteran of Seattle's nooks and crannies...the overly-friendly face that launched a thousand quips...Gary Gloryhole!

Gary is a favorite guest on Match Game Belltown, as well, and during a recent appearance, recited the following poem about Seattle's Colorful Capitol Hill neighborhood...accompanied by a sing-along-coloring-book for the audience, which I've taken the time to reproduce for your coloring pleasure! Feel free to get your crayons out, copy and color the ones you like best! I've had plenty of fun coloring my own...as you can see...

Now it's your turn!

Good job, boys and girls! And if you're looking for more fun, did you know there's now an exciting line of Gary Gloryhole Action Figures??

Needless to say, Gary makes lots of friends, and has lots of fans...one of which took these pics! Thank you, whoever you are, for letting me share them with the world! Coloring book by Josh Hartvigson and Craig Trolli! Thanks, guys!
