Fallen Jewel
It's a wrap! After much anticipation, Fallen Jewel, starring the one and only Waxie Moon, will be premiering at the Out In the Desert Film Festival...an LGBT event taking place in Tucson, Arizona next month! You probably already know that Waxie is one of my most adorable, lovable, wonderful, talented, hilarious and inspirational pals, as well as a Seattle burlesque icon...and this new project is sure to bring her international acclaim! Producer/director Wes Hurley posted a few promo shots from the film and I simply had to share them!
...Relaxing at home with Waxie...
...Hanging out with hot-n-sexy Ernie Von Schmaltz and his man-van!
...A dramatic moment with petite Inga Ingenue...the Little Blonde Bomb!
...Waxie beaming at her beau!
...Doesn't this look like a fun ride?? Can't wait!
Congrats to Waxie and Wes for completing this faaabulous project! And if YOU are lucky enough to be in or around Tucson next month, make sure you go see Fallen Jewel! You might even spy your pal Gams in a scene or two! Mwah!

Tube on the Moon

This weekend kicks off the 2009 season of The Seattle Lesbian and Gay Film Festival, and the selections look wonderfully diverse! Check out the website to find schedules, info, and lots of clips!
Featured this year is a biopic about one particularly fabulous boylesque performer, the incredible Waxie Moon, who is not only talented, diverse and hilarious, but also very, very nice! Filmmaker Wes Hurley captures all the lovable sides of Waxie (including that oh-so-lovable backside!)
I was going to put the Waxie Moon trailer up, but after looking through youtube selections, I decided that I like this one, Widow Moon, even more, especially on this typically rainy Seattle Sunday. What makes dear Waxie mourn so? Watch and enjoy, my darlings!
