Hello, Kitty!

Me-ow!  Here's a little stray I found hiding among the hats at my local G-Willie's...ain't she sweet? Look at the cute button detail at the crown...and she's soooo soft to the touch! $5.99, you say? Well, I had to take her home with me, natch.

She's in purrr-fect condition...perhaps the poor dear has spent most of her life in a box...amazing how she's still right in style! She's sporting a RAINBOW of California label, but I can't seem to find any info on them anywhere...so she really is an orphan! But those lonely days are over...now she can start a new life in my heart and on my head! Thrift-O-Gasm!!

I've Got Gams!

Well, fans, here it is...the closest you're going to get to an actual video of me performing my theme song (to the tune of *One* from A Chorus Line) at the Academy of Burlesque Alumni Show a few weeks ago!

Anyway, I mostly want you to take note of the awesome corset I made (it was worn with a break-away gold skirt which had already broken-away by this time) and...my tophat! I made this out of a cheapo ($8) felt hat, purchased from the costume store, then accented it (via my trusty glue-gun) with sequins and faux gold-leafed cardboard letters to spell out the goldenest GAMS you ever got a gander at!

If you are sorry to miss my singing don't feel bad...most of the audience missed it too! Seeing as how my geedee microphone was on the fritz, no one heard me except half the front row...I understand they just LOVED it!!! Ah, well...that's showbiz! xo

Little Pink Hat

Oh, the joys of an adorable vintage hat! This dainty cap, with it's pearly pink blossoms, looks freshly picked right off the top of Lucy Ricardo's poodle-cut! But...is it actually vintage...or isn't it?? Truth be told, my very, very good friend, Panache!, made this floral fancy! That's right...and although you can't see the inside, I'll tell you that it's lined with the palest, whispery pink dupioni silk (are you drooling yet?) and trimmed with velvet ribbon...

My Little Pink Hat is so sweet, I just can't wait to take it out to afternoon tea, where it can mingle with an absolutely dreamy faux-fur trimmed cardigan and a strand of grandma's pearls!
