Which reminds me, friends...if you are planning to be visiting the Seattle area this summer, why not consider a stay at the home of Salon...Pensione Nichols Bed & Breakfast, located right smack dab in the heart of town, above the famous Pike Place Market! You'll have to decide (as I always have trouble doing) which room you love the most...you may like one of the cozy ones with separate baths overlooking First Avenue (which always give me the feeling of a being on some European vacation!) or perhaps one of the fabulous, open suites (with their own kitchen and bath!) at the back, with incredible views of the city and beyond...you can watch the ferries go to and fro across Puget Sound and look down over the Market's Post Alley...an entirely different, more metropolitan feeling! Either way, you'll be treated to fresh breads, fruits and your own pot of coffee while you relax over your morning paper in the wonderful Salon!
